Palliative Care Sensitization




Later in the evening on 30th November 2014, a Palliative Care sensitization session was held by volunteers of DNipCare for the members of Syro Malabar Youth Movement under the St. Thomas Syro Malabar Church, Janakpuri in the Church premise.  Rev. Father John presided over the function conducted by KV Hamza, Suresh Thaliyaril, Ajith Kumar and Lekha Anil from DNipCare.  Vipin Joseph coordinated the program.

























Palliative Care Sensitization & Hands on


The members of Women's Manifesto, an NGO working for empowerment of women had a hands on experience on Palliative Care discipline on 30th November 2014 in the DNipCare Outpatient Clinic in D-218, Abul Fazal Enclave, Jamia Nagar.  Dr. Neeta Kumar of ICMR sensitized the all women group and provided an opportunity for the group to take care of a bedridden patient.  Sharnaz Muthu coordinated the program along with Suresh Thaliyaril and KV Hamza, the volunteers of DNipCare.

Cancer Awareness and Palliative Care propagation program with the self help women group “Soubhagya Kutumbhashree” on 16th November 2014


The volunteers of DNipCare did a Cancer Awareness and Palliative Care propagation program with the self help women group “Soubhagya Kutumbhashree” in Sector 5, RK Puram, New Delhi on 16th November 2014.

Mrs. AK Nair, Secretary, Soubhagya Kutumbhashree presided over the program conducted by Dr. Habeeba, Dr. Beena Saraswati, Suresh Thaliyaril and KV Hamza.  The members of Kutumbhashree having grass root level outreach will further accelerate their activity of spreading health awareness and palliative care concepts along with the innovative programs for home maker women and downtrodden sections of the society.

Alzheimer's & Related Disorders - A Talk & Discussion during DNipCare Palliative Care Monthly Review Meeting on 08.11.2014 in Kerala Club, M 67, Connaught Place, New Delhi

A talk and discussion on Alzheimer’s and related disorders was held during the Palliative Care Monthly Review Meeting under DNipCare on 8th November 2014 in Kerala Club, M 67, Connaught Place, New Delhi.  

Dr. Ninan Kurian, Consultant Old age Psychiatrist, UK,  Dr. Rajani, Treasurer & Medical Officer, Alzheimer’s and Related Disorders Society of India (ARDSI), MJ Sebastian, Secretary, Dr. Ajith Kumar, Jt. Secretary, KC Varghese, ARDSI and Dr. T.P. Ashraf, Director Social Mission, Government of Kerala addressed the audience and conducted the discussions.  

Gravity of the cases leading to people not even recognizing their own images in the mirror due to Alzheimer’s disease were described in the discussions.  


AT Sainudin, President DNipCare presided over the function and Antony Cyriac, Treasurer said vote of thanks.
