Medical Camp by DNipCare for the patients at Shanti Niketan Ashram, Kassra No. 577, Asola Village, Laxmi Nagar, Fatehpur Beri, Delhi 110074 on 27th March 2021

It was a humble contribution by the Volunteers of DNipCare on 27th March 2021 to the yeoman services being rendered by the Shanti Niketan Ashram under the vibrant leadership of Ms. Ancy Madam at Kassra No. 577, Asola Village, Laxmi Nagar, Fatehpur Beri, Delhi 110074 for the forsaken suffering human beings.  

The Medical Camp was led by Dr. Indu, Senior Resident, Dr. RML Hospital supported by Sr. Hanife MacGamwell, Palliative Care Nurse Specialist, Mr. Suresh Thaliyaril, Senior Nursing Officer, Safdarjung Hospital, Mr. Desant Chakkambath, Mr. Jitendra Choudhary, both Nursing Officers of Safdarjung Hospital, Ms. Sanju Arya, Clinical Psychologist, Mr. Cyriac Antony, Treasurer DNipCare, Ms. Seema Prasad, Volunteer Coordinator DNipCare and Ms. Omana  Gopal, Volunteer.  Medicines for the patients have also been provided in addition to assessing the Psychological issues for ensuring the required intervention.

Dr Piyush Gupta, Secretary & PEO, Cancer Aid Society today, 21.03.2021, announced Conferring Cancer Aid Society’s prestigious International Award for Excellence in Palliative Care 2020-21 in the Nurses category to Mr. Suresh T.P., Senior Nursing Officer, Vardhman Mahavira Medical College & Safdarjung Hospital and Secretary, DNipCare. The Award in the category of Social Worker and Doctors have been bagged by Ms. Ashla Rani MP and Dr.  Stanley Cecil Macaden respectively. 

 

The Awardees will get the Award and Certificate after announcement in IAPCON 2021 currently going on at Patna and will be facilitated by Dr. Savita Butola, Secretary IAPC and Dr. Umesh Badani, Dean, AIIMS, Patna.


The Award will further boost the morale of all the Volunteers including Nursing professionals supporting DNipCare's  Palliative Care mission for the suffering chronic patients.
