On the occasion of World Kidney Day, Symposium on Palliative Care by Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital in association with DNipCare at 1.30 PM on Thursday, 14th March 2019


On the occasion of World Kidney Day, the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Mangolpuri, Delhi in association with DNipCare held a Symposium on Palliative Care at 1.30 PM on Thursday, 14th March 2019.  Dr. Renu Manchanda, Training Coordinator of the hospital presided over the function.

The following faculties spoke on the occasion:
Dr. Anjana Saxena, Deputy Commissioner (Retd.), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India - Palliative Care Medical perspective with special emphasis on patients suffering from CKD

Dr.Saveena Raheja,SJH- on Palliative Care - Institutional approach & Pain Clinic.

Dr.Madhu Dayal ,SJH- on Pain Management.

Sr. Hanife  Mac Gamwell, Palliative  Care Nurse  Specialist on Communication  and Breaking  Bad News

KV Hamza, Gen. Secretary, DNipCare - on Community based Palliative Care

Mr. Suresh Thaliyari, Secretary DNipCare and Mrs. Geeta Jeewan, Technical Supervisor Blood Bank coordinated the program.

Cancer Awareness & Palliative Care Sensitization Campaign by Janasamskriti, Noida in association with DNipCare on 03rd March 2019




The Janasamskriti, Noida held a Cancer Awareness & Palliative Care Sensitization Campaign in association with DNipCare in Community Centre, B1, Aravali Apartment, Sector 34, NOIDA at 4.00 PM on 03rd March 2019.

Dr. Renju Benoy, Senior Resident, Dr. RML Hospital, New Delhi led the campaign participated and spoken by Dr. Padma Soundaram, Gynaecologist from Perth, Australia, KV Hamza, Gen. Secretary, Mr. Cyriac Antony, Treasurer, Mr. Suresh Thaliyaril, Secretary DNipCare and coordinated by Mrs. Sunitha and presided over by Mr. C. Haridasan, Chairman of Noida Janasamskriti.

In addition to Cancer prevention, Dr. Renju spoke on length about the Kidney diseases and protocols. Dr. Padma was handy to the audience to clear all their doubts specifically on Gynae issues.  KV Hamza while sensitizing the audience on Palliative Care touch upon the socio-economic perspectives of the chronic patients with specific focus on Cancer and long term chronic kidney patients.  Mr. Cyriac Antony explained the effectiveness of volunteering for Palliative care in improving the quality of life of chronic patients.
