Palliative Care Monthly Review Meeting under DNipCare and Talk on "Communication with Patients"

The Palliative Care Monthly Review Meeting under DNipCare will be held at 5.30 PM on 14th March 2015 in Kerala Club, M 67, Connaught Place, New Delhi.  

Ms. Hanife Mac GamwellPalliative Care Nurse Specialist (USA) presently associated with CanKids will be speaking on the topic “Communication with patients” during the meeting.

International Women’s Day Celebration by Janani Kudumbashree in association with DNipCare



The members of Janani Kudumbashree, Munirka Village, Delhi celebrated Internattional Women’s Day in association with volunteers of DNipcare in the public park of Sector 5, RK Puram, New Delhi on 8th March 2015.

The program included Cancer Awareness and Palliative Care sensitization conducted by Dr. Basheer Ahmed of AIIMS, Suresh Thaliyaril, Neerja Bakshi, Seema Prasad and KV Hamza, the volunteers of DNipCare. 

Focussing on prevention of Cancer and other Non-communicable diseases especially in view of the rapid urbanization, lack of adequate information and sedentary life style, the speakers appraised the enthusiastic members of the self help Group Janani Kudumbashree about the kind of Palliative intervention required for long term bedridden, terminally ill patients including Cancer Patients.  Ms. Neerja Bakshi, Nutritionist spoke at length on the timely food and nutritional aspects of long term peatines and the indigenous methods of ensuring required nutrition to the patients staying at home. 

The meeting was inaugurated by Mrs. Prasanna Nair, President, Janani Kudumbashree and Mrs. Sandhya Anil, Secretary said the vote of thanks.
