A sad farewell to Ms. Akansha Mary, died on 25.05.2022

 


 

 


It is a very much grief stricken moment for not only the family members of Akansha Mary 35/F of Burari, Delhi suffering from multiple diseases, but also in the Palliative family of DNipCare, as she bid farewell to this world at 11.30 PM on Wednesday, 25th May 2022.  She was on ventilator since yesterday in the ICU of Hindu Rao Hospital, where she was admitted since 17th May 2022.  

Our journey with her started way back on 18th December 2021 and in addition to Ms. Seema Prasad, our other esteemed Volunteers like Mr. Sujeesh of Dr. Ambedka Hospital, Mr. Shyamalan Sir, Ms. Sunita George, have also done whatever possible for getting the appropriate treatment and to improving the quality of life of Ms. Akansha Mary during her period of suffering.  Now let us all pray to God for blessing her departed soul.

DNipCare Palliative Charitable OP Clinic at Mayur Vihar on 08th May 2022 - Mother's Day.

Caring for many Mothers and others is the focus of DNipCare Volunteers on Mother’s Day on 08th May 2022 at our Palliative Charitable OP Clinic at Mayur vihar, Delhi.  

Clinic was managed by Dr. Nishad, Dr. Aparna CK supported by Mr. Nikhil Krishna Prasad of Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, Mr. Deshanth of Safdarjung Hospital, Ms. Geeta Rani, all Nursing Officers along with Student Volunteers Miss Neha, Mr. Muhammed Asif, Mr. Amal Mohammed and other Volunteers, Mr. Shyam Gupta, Mr. Soma Sekharan, Mr. Nanda Kumaran,  Mr. Ajmal Mufeed, Adv. Marzook Bafaqyh, Miss Raveena and KV Hamza.

On the occasion of International Nurses Week, the DNipCare in association with College of Nursing, Vardhaman Mahaveera Medical College and Safdarjang Hospital,N.Delhi. held a Palliative Care Sensitization Program for  Nursing Students  from 11.00 AM to 12.30 PM on Saturday 07th May 2022.  The Programme was inaugurated by Dr.Reti Balachandran, ADG(Nursing), DGHS, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.  


Radha Rani Tiwari, Principal, College of Nursing, VMMC and Safdarjang Hospital presided over the programme.

Dr Saveena Raheja and  Dr Madhu Dayal from VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, Mrs. Nileema Shingade, Sr. Nursing Officer, BRAIRCH, AIIMS conducted the Sessions on Palliative Care, Pain Management and the Role of Nurses in Palliative Care during the program.  

KV Hamza, Gen. Secretary, DNipCare moderated the programme Coordinated by Shri Suresh Thaliyaril, Secretary, DNipCare.

Kirti Joshi, Faculty,CON, VMMC and Safdarjang Hospital said vote of thanks.
