Mr. Shyam Lal Arya Principal presided over the function.  Dr. Jugal Kishore, Head, Department of Community Medicine, Vardhamana Mahaveera Medical College  and Safdarjung Hospital was the Chief Guest who did the campaign.  KV Hamza, Gen. Secretary and Mr. Suresh Thaliyaril, Secretary, DNipCare addressed the enthusiastic students on Cancer prevention and discharging the Individual Social Responsibility.

Cancer Prevention and Palliative Care Sensitization Campaign organized by St.Thomas Mar Thoma Church, Karol Bagh, New Delhi in association with DNipCare



The St.Thomas Mar Thoma Church, Karol Bagh, New Delhi organized a
Cancer Prevention and Palliative Care Sensitization Campaign in association with DNipCare on Sunday, 2nd April 2017. Dr. Sunil Kumar Singh of Safdarjung Hospital and Vardhman Mahaveera Medical College did the first session on preventive and curative protocols for Cancer and other allied diseases. Mr. Suresh Thaliyaril from Safdarjung Hospital, Antony Cyriac, Seema Prasad, Omana Gopal, KV Hamza, the volunteers of DNipCare deliberated on the finer details of ensuring quality of life through Palliative Care for patients right from diagnosis, throughout the disease and beyond. Rev. Father Eapan Abraham inaugurated and presided over the program.

Enthusiastic audience actively participated in the program and cleared their doubts on the disease, prevention, treatment and Palliative possibilities in Delhi and around. St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church has also supported DNipCare for rehabilitating the leg amputated accident victim rikshaw puller Mr. Mostafa belonging to Malda of West Bengal and staying in the slum near Nizamudin Railway Station, with a tricycle Rikshaw.
