Palliative Care Monthly Review Meeting

My dear Friends,

Instead of the usual second Saturdays, the monthly review meeting of the Delhis National Initiative in Palliative Care (DNipCare) will be held this time on Tuesday 14th July 2009 at 6.30 PM in Kerala Club, M-67, Connaught Place, New Delhi.

Dr. Suresh Kumar, Director, Institute of Palliative Medicines, Calicut, Kerala and Dr. Anil Kumar Paleri, Pain and Palliative Care Clinic Medical College,Calicut,the pioneers in the Palliative care will be attending the meeting to review our Palliative activities and also to further sensitize the participants on rendering Palliative care.

It will be a great opportunity for all of us to understand the Palliative Care well in the experience sharing session with Dr. Suresh Kumar & Dr. Anil Kumar Paleri.

All of you are, therefore, requested to kindly make it convenient to attend the meeting in the interest of assisting the hapless patients to lead a possible quality life devoid of the physical, social and psychological difficulties.

Palliative Care Review Meeting-13th June 2009

My Dear Friends,

The Monthly Review Meeting of the Delhi's National Initiative in Palliative Care (DNipCare) will be held on 13th June 2009 (Saturday) at 6.00 PM in Kerala Club, 67, M- Block, Connaught Place, New Delhi.

Eminent Doctors of Oncology and Radiology are expected to attend the review meeting and impart information on Cancer and Community Palliative care. The cases in hand shall be reviewed for qualitatively improving the Palliative Social Care being provided by the DNipCare.

Expansion of the ambit of Palliative Care to more patients in Delhi and NCR and the strategy to be followed etc., shall be discussed in detail in the review meeting. All the volunteers and well wishers are requested to attend the meeting positively at 6.00 PM please.

Curtain is down for a great Kathakali Acharyan of Delhi

My dear Friends,
It is to inform all of you that Mr. Mohanan Nair, the eminent Kathakali Acharyan and Teacher in International Kathakali Centre, Delhi passed away tonight, i.e., 21.05.2009 around 10 PM. He was suffering from Cancer.
DNipCare volunteers were regularly rendering him Palliative Care in his last days and visited him on 20.5.2009 also. We are all very much down hearted on his sad demise. The curtain is down now for this great Kathakali Acharyan of Delhi.
Let us all join together again to give psycho-social support to the bereaved family.

DNipCare - Monthly Review Meeting

Dear Friends,

The Monthly Review Meeting of the Delhi's National Initiative in Palliative Care (DNipCare) will be held on 9th May 2009 (Saturday) at 5.00 PM in Kerala Club, M- Block, Connaught Place, New Delhi.

The cases being handled presently shall be reviewed in the meeting. Process of registration of the initiative, measures to sensitize and bring in more people to the Palliative net work shall also be discussed in detail. All the volunteers and well wishers are requested to attend the meeting positively at 5.00 PM please.
