My dear Friends,
Our DNipCare will be celebrating World Hospice & Palliative Care Day 2010 on 16th October 2010 in M.P's Club, South Avenue, New Delhi.
Theme of celebration of the Day will be "SHARING THE CARE".
Let us all get together for the noble cause of Palliative Care and to pledge ourselves to work more for the ailing patients.
With Warm regards,

‘Here we are in October,
When winter is knocking our doors,
The reluctant summer getting out very slowly.
The World Palliative Care Day is here.
A day of Sharing the Care of care givers
A day for those ailing patients
who require our attention.
A day for the bedridden patients
who are stretching their hands for us to hold.
A day for the hapless patients
suffering from life limiting illness.
Every nail of pain hammered to their body by illness
Every sun set brings in further worry to them.
Anxiety about their future.
About their kith and kin.
About their own world where they lived happily.
A thought, a smile, a touch, a sentence of empathy
That much only needed
From us,
From the society we live in
Because we are able to
Stand and walk
Smile and talk
Unlike them, the patients
Under duress, bedridden and suffering’
