Palliative Care Monthly Review Meeting on 12th May 2012

Dear friends,

The monthly review meeting of the Palliative Care activities under DNipCare will be held at 5.30 PM on Saturday, 12th May 2012 in Kerala Club, M-67, Connaught Place, New Delhi.
Dr. Savita Butola , Chief Medical Officer , FHQ BSF Hospital, New Delhi will give a presentation on "Community participation in Palliative Care" and discuss the topic with the volunteers on the occasion.

Mr. Suresh Thaliyaril, the Male Nurse, Safdarjung Hospital, our volunteer and Executive Member of DNipCare, who has been selected for the prestigious National Florence Nightingale Award from the President of India will be felicitated by Dr. Mohammed Rafique, Consultant, UNFPA Bangkok, UNAIDS Russia & FHI India on behalf of DNIpCare volunteers during the meeting. Mr. A.T. Sainudin, President, DNipCare will preside over the volunteers monthly review meeting.

All volunteers and well-wishers are requested to attend the meeting positively and also to felicitate the outstanding achievement of our Suresh Thaliyaril.

NAVOOTHAN Charitable Foundation recognizing Palliative Care Services under DNipCare

 NAVOOTHAN Charitable Foundation donated Rs.1 Lakh to DNipCare for conducting Palliative Care Services in Delhi. Mrs. Elizabeth Antony, Founder & President of NAVOOTHAN presented the cheque to DNipCare during their Annual Day Celebrations held on 6th May 2012 in 9, Krishna Menon Marg, New Delhi. Mr. AT Sainudin, President, KV Hamza, General Secretary, Mr. Antony Cyriac, Treasurer and Ms. Shilpa Babu, Nurse of DNipCare received the cheque from Mrs. Elizabeth Antony. DNipCare is grateful to NAVOOTHAN Charitable Foundation and everybody behind it for their kind gesture for supporting DNipCare for providing succour and solace to the debilitating patients around us.

Our condolences ...

Our heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of Mr. Rakesh Sachdeva (38), resident of Bharat Nagar, Delhi on 1st May 2012.  Mr. Rakesh was was suffering from Cancer.

Let us all pray for his spirit to rest in peace and give strength to his family to bear with the irreparable loss due to his untimely death.

We are grateful to our volunteers Mr. CA Baby, Dr. Felice Faizal and Ms. Seema Prasad  who were there to give him care towards his end.
