Media Support for Palliative Care

Aanchal & DNip - Giving Hope...

Looking back to the year 2014, the social interventions of Aanchal & DNipCare OP Clinic, the two voluntary organizations led by Malayalees, assume more significance in Delhi.  Aanchal is the charity wing of St. Basil Orthodox Church of Rohin.  Educational rehabilitation of the differently abled is the aim of Aanchal.

DNipCare, the Palliative Care Group in Delhi,  on the other hand has started their free Outpatient Clinic in D-218, Abul Fazal Enclave, Okhla.  Consultation and Medicines, both free of charges, are being provided in the Clinic runs from 10.30 AM to 1.00 PM on every Sundays.  The OP Clinic is expected to function on full day time basis in the new year. DNipCare Winter Virtue through Woolen Support to Cancer Patients along with Celebration of Christmas and New Year on 28th December 2014

The volunteers of DNipCare (Delhites’ National Initiative in Palliative Care) carried out the Winter Virtue through Woolen Support to Cancer Patients along with Celebration of Christmas and New Year with the patients at 2.30 PM on Sunday, 28th December 2014 in Sir Sobha Singh Dharamshala of Delhi State Cancer Institute, Dilshad Garden, Delhi.   

The woolens were provided to patients admitted in Delhi State Cancer Institute and also to the Cancer patients staying in Dharamshala adjacent to the Institute.  Of the woolens of Blankets, Caps & Socks, the blankets were sponsored by Delhi Islahi Centre.  

Dr. RK Grover, Director & CEO of Delhi State Cancer Institute inaugurated the program and A.T. Sainudin, President presided over the Christmas and New Year Celebrations by the volunteers with Cancer patients.  The student volunteers from IIT Delhi, SRCC, Aditi Mahavidyalaya & IGNOU also participated in the program.
