The Volunteers of DNipCare in association with Delhi State Cancer Institute (DSCI) celebrated Deepavali with Cancer Patients and their bystanders staying in Dharmashala of DSCI, at 3.00 PM on Saturday, 26th October 2019.
Dr.
Anuradha Mahaur, Palliative Care Specialist was the Chief Guest of the
occasion. Dr. Harleen, Mr. Abdul Kareem, Mr. Suresh thaliyaril, Mr.
Haridas Pillai, Mr. Shaikh Moideen were the guests of honour.
The students started the program by seeking blessings from the patients by bowing and touching their feet.
Through
songs and dances the NSS Volunteers from Sreeram College of Commerce
(SRCC) headed by Miss Kajal Kumari and Social Work students from Aditi Mahavidyalaya of Delhi
University enthralled the audience comprising of ailing patients and
their bystanders for whom the occasion gave a feeling of warmth as
festivals and festivities are otherwise taboo for them, being at this
far away place from their villages for getting treatment.
