Volunteers of DNipCare celebrated Independence Day 2018 under the theme "Freedom from Pain" - 10th Anniversary of DNipCare, ONAM & Bakrid 2018 with Cancer Patients in Delhi State Cancer Institute, Dilshad Garden, Delhi on 15th August 2018.
Dr. RK Grover, Director & CEO inaugurated the celebration of completion of 10 years of DNipCare in Palliative field for chronic patients by cutting the cake. Volunteers of DNipCare from all walks of life including students community from Delhi University, Jamia Millia Islamia University etc., wholeheartedly participated in the event celebrated with the Cancer patients of Delhi State Cancer Institute. Singing and Dancing, distribution of fruit juice, pudding etc were part of the celebrations which not only enthused the debilitating cancer patients for whom festivals and festivities are otherwise a boon while suffering from chronic disease, but also made them participate in singing and enjoying the even with student volunteers. Work Experience Certificates have been distributed by Mr. Cyriac Antony, I.E.S., Economic Adviser, 15th Finance Commission and Mr. Abdul Kareem, I.E.S., Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance and Mr. Unnikrishnan KC, Consultant, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India to the Social Works Students of Aditi Mahavidyala, Bhawana of Delhi University, who have successfully completed the year long internship with DNipCare. We are grateful to M/s. Dabur India Ltd. and M/s. Hotel Nilgiris for their support to the cause of the Cancer patients.
