DNipCare volunteers conducting a “Street Health Talk” on “Hypertension and related issues” in the street of Jamia Nagar, Okhla on 08^th February 2015. Dr. Habeebul Rahman, Dr. Zeeshal Ali, Suresh Thaliyaril, Aparna Krishnan,  KV Hamza, Preeti, Anupama, Vandana & Alisha Musthafa carried out the program.

Celebration of Republic Day with Cancer Patients

A day that brims in the spirit of patriotism

Smothered in the moments of rendering palliation

In the day with cold wind break the snuggle, they-

Reached with beautifully packed nutritious thoughts

That hundreds of packets of juice and snacks,

An effort that percolate the spirit of love and care

Their noble profession, still extend to those-

Ailing minds that are in piercing pain of cancer

May God Bless them with flowers of beautiful moments …

Volunteers of Health Charity Wing of KMWA, in association with DNipCare, celebrated the Republic day with Cancer patients at Sir Soba Singh Dharamshala of Delhi State Cancer Institute, Dilshad Garden, Delhi in the afternoon on 26th January 2015. 
Safeer MK, Health Charity Wing Coordinator, conveyed the Republic Day message. In addition to the Republic Day badge, pamphlets detailing preventive, curative and Palliative protocols for better management of Cancer and other chronic diseases were also distributed along with small refreshment kits to the patients and their bystanders.
Listening and understanding the emotional and physical issues of patients by spending adequate time with them, the volunteers especially those hailing from Medical, para medical (AIIMS, Safdarjung, LHMC)and social work professions (IGNOU, Jamia, DU, IIT Delhi) listed out and consolidated the common issues so as to provide the required support and also delivered a health talk at the end of the celebrations for the benefit of patients, bystanders and volunteers.
