"Winter Warmth" DNipCare's Celebration of Christmas & New Year with Cancer Patients on 27th December 2015 in Sir Soba Singh Dharamshala of Delhi State Cancer Institue, Dilshad Garden, Delhi

Shalimar Garden Girls Youth Wing generated financial resources to the tune of few thousands through their Christmas Carol program for Cancer patients and handed over to DNipCare.

The volunteers of DNipCare celebrated Christmas and New Year with Cancer patients and their bystanders in Delhi State Cancer Institute, Dilshad Garden, New Delhi on Sunday, 27th December 2015 under the theme “Winter Warmth” by providing woollen caps, socks, sweets & Juices for the patients. The celebration included Christmas carol and other musical entertainments by volunteers including students from different disciplines. 

The lumpsum amount of Rupees Ten thousand generated by Shalimar Garden Girls Youth Wing through Carol Singing has been handed over to DNipCare for the support of suffering patients. The wholehearted Participation of ailing patients and their bystanders in the celebration was really a positive approach in the interest of the patients. Dr. RK Grover, Director & CEO along with Dr. Abdul Mannan, Joint Director, Delhi State Cancer Institute addressed the gathering. They emphasized the necessity of younger generation carrying the message of prevention of cancer to the common people. Propagation of “No to Tobacco” and leading “Healthy life style” to the masses is the need of the hour, Dr. Grover said.
