The Sahodaya Senior
Secondary School, Hauzkhas, New Delhi held a Cancer Awareness &
Palliative Care Sensitization Campaign in association with DNipCare for
the students of 10th, 11th & 12th Standards on 31st July 2017.
Essentials of Cancer
prevention, treatment protocols and Community based Palliative Care in the
individual social responsibility perspective have been imparted to the students
during the campaign. Follow up sessions are also being worked out for keen
students so as to ensure the consistency in propagation of the message to the
larger community through students.
Sister Sudha,
Principal of the School presided over the program. Dr. Surabhi Sethi,
Sr. Resident, Vardhaman Mahaveera Medical College & Safdarjung
Hospital, Mrs. Vatchala Dhinakaran, Assistant Secretary General Trained
Nurses Association of India and KV Hamza, General Secretary, DNipCare
held the campaign coordinated by Mr. Suresh TP, Secretary,
DNipCare. Dr. Jugal Kishore, Director Professor & Head of Department,
Vardhaman Mahaveera Medical College & Safdarjung Hospital was the lead
speaker and Chief Guest on the occasion.
