The Distress Management Collective India (DMCI) celebrated World Hospice & Palliative Care Day in association with DNipCare on 10th October 2020 in the Conference Hall of NIPCCD, Hauz Khas, New Delhi.
Shri Satyender Jain, Honourable Minister of Health, NCT of Delhi was the Chief Guest and he informed the intention of the Government to have a declared Policy on Palliative Care in the same lines, but tailormade to the Capital City, as it has been since 2008 in the State of Kerala.
He has also expressed his experience of visiting Shanti Avedna Sadan, the Cancer Hospice Centre in Delhi and hoped that the Palliative Care Policy to be brought out in Delhi shall be able to redress the distress of the chronic patients through Palliative Care.
He has also inaugurated the 'Mothers Meal' program of DMCI in Delhi by distributing the food kits to the representatives of DNipCare for further distribution to the Palliative patients being catered to. Shri Abdul Kareem, Shri Suresh Thaliyaril and Shri C Antony Baby attended
