Showcasing DNipCare during the Fellowship in Palliative Care 2021 on 05th April 2021

Showcasing DNipCare during the Fellowship in Palliative Care 2021 currently running jointly by the Institute of Palliative Medicine, Calicut, India, (the WHOCC for Community Participation in Palliative Care and Long Term Care), Sanjeevan Palliative Care Project (Pondicherry, India), St Christopher’s Hospice, (London, United Kingdom), and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (Dhaka, Bangladesh) and St Christopher’s Hospice, UK.

It was a great experience of showcasing the Volunteering experience under DNipCare to the participants of the Fellowship Programme belonging to the 46 Countries including India.  The DNipCare was placed under the Traditional Community Volunteering category.

We could convey to the participants the urban Metro City Model of Community based Palliative Care we are practicing under DNipCare, the merits, demerits, the challenges and the best practices.  KV Hamza, Gen. Secretary, DNipCare presented before the participants in both Cohorts online at 2.30 PM and 10.00 PM on 05th April 2021.  The other two presentations were by ILA Palliative Care represented by Aysha Nargis and St Christopher’s Hospice, UK by Rebecca Turner.

We are grateful to the organizers and especially Dr. Suresh Kumar, IPM Calicut and Heather Richardson, Joint Chief Executive, St Christopher's Hospice for the opportunity provided to DNipCare to showcase our activities to the esteemed participants of the Fellowship Programme.
