World Hospice & Palliative Care Day Celebrated by DNipCare on 09th October 2021

 

 

The Nursing Division, DGHS, Government of India in association with  DNipCare, Echo India and TNAI Telangana State Branch celebrated the World Hospice and Palliative Care Day on 9th October 2021, Saturday,3.30pm onwards and announced the launch of 2nd batch of DNipCare-Echo India Promoting Excellence in Palliative Care Nursing Program to start from 23rd October 2021

The Theme of the World Hospice and Palliative Care Day was “Leave No One Behind, Equity in access to Palliative Care”.

In order to ensure sensitization on Palliative Care among the students from very beginning, DNipCare requested to DGHS to seriously ponder over issuing directions from Government of India to the Education Departments of State Governments for including Palliative Care as a chapter in the Social Science text book of 10th Standard and also as a speciality in Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work courses for inspired students to choose their career path while committed to the cause

DNipCare also announced restarting of its Listening Clinic in association with Listening Community for ensuring timely intervention of the people suffering from psychological issues.  The Listening Clinic will now be held by DNipCare in association with Listening Community and Kerala Club at the Club premise at M-67 Connaught Place, New Delhi from 4 to 6 PM on Second Saturday of every month.  The first session, however, will be done from 4 to 6 PM on Sunday, 10th October 2021, the World Mental Health Day and people can walk in to avail the services from the Team.
