Janasamskriti Uttam Nagar Branch (Mahila Wing) , in association with DNipCare held a Cancer Awareness and Palliative Care Sensitization Programme on 28th November 2021 in Arya International School, Om Vihar, Uttam Nagar, Delhi. Dr. Rusna Madhur, Department of ENT, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, Delhi led the campaign delivering the lecture on Cancer Prevention, treatment and Palliative Care protocols. The speech was followed with a detailed Question-Answer Session with the active participation of the entire audience.
A Documentary on Palliative mission of Neighborhood Network in Palliative Care of Kerala was also screened for the audience. Ms. Preetha Sreekumar, Convenor, Mahila Wing of Janasamskriti presided over the programme and welcomed the participants.
Mr. Abdul Kareem, Economic Adviser, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India and Volunteer DNipCare also spoke on the essential Palliative Care and requirement of the youth to join hands for improving the quality of life of chronic patients.
The programme was jointly coordinated by Mr. Sunil Kumar of Janasamskriti and KV Hamza, Gen. Secretary, DNipCare alongwith Mr. Suresh Thaliyaril, Secretary DNipCare and Ms. Seema Prasad, Volunteer Coordinator.
