Mr. Prince Mallick left for his heavenly abode on 15th January 2022

It was an odyssey of more than a decade starting from 04th December 2011 for the Volunteers of DNipCare with our Palliative family member Mr. Prince Mallick, the paraplegic patient of Seelampur.  On 15th January 2022 he, however, bid farewell to this world or got rid of his confined to bed life.  His life is rather a case study for the carers as he was not only fighting his fate after the fall from the roof of his home way back in 2009 or so, but also with the errant rats moving around and trying to eat flesh from his foot, about which he seldom realizes due to paraplegia waist below.

Having two sons and a daughter, his life was moving on, but for the sudden disappearance of his daughter a couple of years ago, aftermath of the pandemic Corona turning his caring wife into mental disarray, his physical situation deteriorated and finally succumbed.

We, the Volunteers, will miss him, his meaningful smile and sweet complaints on not ensuring frequent visits to him, even when the packet of medicines containing    Fucidine Oinment, Betadine Solution, Gose bandage roll Paper tape purchased for him this month unknowing about his death, is available with us and yet to be handed over to Mr. Somasekharan Sir for giving it at his home.

Let God bless his departed soul.
